This road has been an absolute nightmare for years. With more and more housing estates opening between Caroline Springs and Melton, it is inexcusable that so little has been done to improve Taylors Road.

A simple starting point would be the addition of a dedicated left-turn lane for traffic turning onto Copperfield Drive. Congestion has become so severe that it's tempting to drive on nature strips and grass land just to keep moving.

Trying alternative routes offers little relief. Kings Road is just as congested, particularly when turning towards Keilor Downs Plaza. Given the large areas of undeveloped land alongside these roads, surely opportunities exist to improve traffic flow and expand road infrastructure.

The west is experiencing significant population growth, with thousands of people moving into newly developed estates. Unfortunately, the infrastructure has not kept pace with the demand.

The impact is being felt every day by local families and workers. Children are arriving late to school, people are getting to work late, and commuters are routinely spending 30 minutes or more sitting in traffic on what should be a relatively straightforward journey.

Residents continue to pay increasing taxes and rates, yet the improvements to local roads and infrastructure are minimal. The current situation is simply not sustainable, and urgent action is needed to address the growing congestion in Melbourne's western suburbs.
