Most of all morning i go work are always frustrating days where everything felt out of control. I left home 40 minutes earlier than usual, thinking that would give me plenty of time to get to work. It’s only about 10 kilometres from my house, so normally the drive is quite manageable.
But as soon as I reached Taylor Road, the traffic was unbelievably bad. Cars were barely moving, and it felt like every traffic light turned red just as I approached it. What should have been a simple drive quickly turned into a long and stressful wait.
I kept checking the time, hoping the traffic would clear, but it only got worse. Minutes kept passing, and I was still stuck in the same stretch of road. In the end, the journey took me 1 hour and 12 minutes—almost double what I expected, even after leaving early.
Despite my effort to plan ahead, I still arrived at work late. It was frustrating because I did everything I could to avoid being late, but the traffic on Taylor Road made it impossible.
